Why the VSME
The VSME is the voluntary sustainability reporting standard for SMEs, increasingly the one banks and large buyers ask for.
On the EcoVadis side
The advanced level of the Reporting indicator expects, among other things, figures published in a CSR report that follows a recognised reporting standard. A VSME-aligned report ticks both boxes; indicator history and criteria coverage do the rest.
How it works
Your current report, figures and policies: what is already in place, what still needs formalising.
An outline aligned with the standard and with the criteria that count in your assessment.
Quantified targets, multi-year indicators, methodology note: we write, you approve.
The report is published before your EcoVadis assessment, so that it counts as central evidence.
In the following years: an update of figures and actions, not a rewrite.
Frequently asked questions
No. We start from your existing documents, figures and policies. If you already have a report, we complete it and align it with the VSME rather than rewriting everything.
No, it is a voluntary standard. But it anticipates requests from your customers and banks, and it meets the reporting standard requirement EcoVadis looks for.
Around six hours when the report follows on from EcoVadis support: one interview, sending us your figures, then review and sign-off. We do the writing.
It is a communication tool, useful internally and externally: attach it to your tender responses, send it to your banks or publish it on your website.
Report review
Send us your current report: a partner will tell you what it already covers and what it needs to become the central evidence for your assessment.
